so, anyone who has tried to request something from my shop over the past little while knows that i have been absolutely SWAMPED with schoolwork. i have 5 final projects due this semester, all due between december 3rd and 10th. i took some horrible webcam pictures of a few of the things i've been working on so that you all know i'm not making up excuses and being lazy. wah.
this will be 25 illustrated paper discs that attach to christmas lights

this will be a whole little "messy living room" set on a shelf, made of felt

these will be 6 paper dolls with screenprinted outfits and screenprinted wallpaper behind them.

i also have to do another edition of prints which i'm starting in class today, and a 10 minute video (i have three hours of video to edit down..) about me and kristina making dolls. ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

so i've been making/listing these little batches of holiday ornaments in any spare time i have between working on the FIVE final assignments i have due at the end of this semester. a cool thing is that nick took a day to help me out and made three awesome ornaments, including this rudolph one which was promptly bought:

sweet, right? anyway, i'm hoping to get a few more of these done before christmas buying season is over, so bear with me. of course, left 4 dead 2 came out a few nights ago so the chances of me doing anything other than kicking zombie ass for a while are slim to none..

a while ago i did a piece for a fibres class where my friend kristina and i sat at my kitchen table and talked about our messy lives while i taught her to make dolls and we did self portraits to give each other. that sounds really convoluted and random but the concept is buried within, i promise. these are the final dolls: me on the left, kristina on the right. i think she did a pretty sweet job for her very first. i took 3 hours of video footage during this and i will definitely post the edited down result at some point.

and here is just a better picture of that little foxy guy hanging out on my bookshelf with a deer and some european robins. still hoping to make some better versions of him to sell asap!

i finally made something! hallelujah!
it's a prototype for a little fox. i am terrible with patterns. these little guys are one of my very favourite animals and i've been desperately wanting to make one ever since i saw astulabee's fox. i still have some kinks to work out in the pattern, but hopefully i'll be making some more of these soon.
